Am I Dreaming.......

Yesterday we received the news that all schools within Austin ISD will remain closed for the remainder of the foreseeable future. You ask what does that mean, the kids will begin online school Monday April 6th, BUT they will not return to any campus until the school district and city health officials deem it to be safe. Peyton has items in her school locker and her gym locker, but I'm not stressing about it. I don't think either of the boys have anything in their gym lockers. Its kinda bittersweet because they never got the chance to say goodbye to any of their friends. By the district canceling school and closing all of their campuses this leaves so many questions about graduation for Jayden. I have graduation on my mind for him....but at the same time I have to think about him leaving for college and reporting to Texas Tech for football in July. Hopefully yall read my last blog post and saw that a said I felt drained...and I do. Now, we have to home school 3 kids, I have to get this boy registered for his classes for college, and both Bernard and I still have to work from home.

Rona 2020 has been very stressful on me just because I have to make sure I can feed P, outside of that I'm cool. I've brushed up on my cooking skills now that I'm in the house all day, I have no excuse why I can't We have no track meets to attend, no 7v7 football practice or games to go to, now summer swim team....OMG YALL....WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?? I mean really....there's only so much Netflix and Hulu you can watch, and I refuse....I repeat....I REFUSE to watch the Tiger King...NOPE...WONT DO IT KATRINA, KEBRA, and HOMIE. We're a sports family, all three of dembabies are athletes and now...we're just sitting around the house. So what did Mama do....she told them today...."I'm giving you a hour after brunch then you have to run 3 miles.' Yup, I sure did....I can't have these kids sitting around here getting lazy, you've had your break...yall will have gym time during the York's Home School. Coach York will have a daily workout for ya.

The title of this blog is Am I I feel like I'm in one. I just need someone to slap me and wake me up. Yall, I can't believe that the entire world has been touched by this virus in some way, shape, or form. I told Bernard the other night when we went out to pick up dinner (ummm yes I do get tired of cooking), "look there's no traffic at 6 PM in Austin". This is very unusual, sometimes traffic will last until 7-7:30 PM. People in SW Austin are listening to the officials and are staying home and practicing social distancing. You can tell by the empty streets when you go outside, it's like a ghost town. It's scary....I encourage you again to take this time to spend with your family, love on them, love on your kids. Let your kids know how much you love them every day. Let your husband know how much you love him on a daily. I'm getting spoiled having Mr. York home with me (I know for sure Sadie is loving having Daddy home). It's nice to see him when I come downstairs for a break from work, or he pops in to check on me to see how my day is going....or I will just go downstairs just tease him while he's working in the mornings....but I'm loving it....and so are the kids...even though they are sleeping like bats now days.

I just wanted to let yall know how we're doing...and we're doing fine. Sending prayers that our family and friends stay safe and covered by the protection of Jesus. I pray that the Lord blesses this country and this world from the virus, in Jesus name.
